John Ibe (@_JohnIbe) – “F.O.M”

Fast-rising Houston rapper, and OG Maco affiliate, John Ibe is back with his brand new single titled ‘F.O.M’, premiered via RESPECT Magazine, and taken from his long-awaited forthcoming EP JIBE, which is scheduled for release in the summer, and follows on from his acclaimed 2016 mixtape Obstructed Environments.

Released via Next Records (Stalley, Willie The Kid, Harry Fraud) and produced by EZM (A$AP Ant, Pro Era, Zaytoven), ‘F.O.M’ is a hard-hitting rap track from John Ibe, backed by daunting grand piano arrangements, and highlighted by the Houston native’s trademark assured cadence, vivid wordplay and infectious rap flow.

From emerging on the scene in 2015 with his seminal debut mixtape The Departure, John Ibe has seen his stock steadily rising ever since, with co-signs from the likes of Joey Bada$$ and OG Maco, collaborations with A$AP Mob, Odd Future, Danny Seth and Allan Kingdom, to mention a few.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his new single ‘F.O.M’, John Ibe says, “the song came from being around supposed friends who claim they have your back, but turn on you in time of need. ‘F.O.M’ is a defiant song to listen to, when you feel like you have been betrayed, or people are against you”.
